Anselme KanangaAnselme Kananga speaks of the beginnings of a palliative care service in Kinshasa despite the difficulties experienced in the country. The service is linked to two European NGOs and relies heavily on volunteer support, particular from young people. He speaks of the resilience of those involved but of the need for enhanced facilities: computer technology, a day clinic, transport, materials and medication – all underpinned by education and training.
