No palliative care training has been implemented in Cote d’Ivoire. A comprehensive approach has been identified for future implementation, that would include training of health professionals and community based organisations. This training would best be delivered in combination with the lobbying of government to ensure that structures are in place to provide sustainable and effective palliative care at all levels throughout the country.⁷
