The NCI is a government funded facility. An estimated 65% of patients are treated free of charge; the remainder have health insurance which covers their treatment costs.

Cairo Evangelical Medical Hospice provides privately funded in-patient hospice and home-care. Patients are required to cover their own costs, but fees are reportedly kept to a minimum.
