Ghana

Ghana (population 20.76 million) is a country in Western Africa that covers an area of 239,460 square kilometres. Its boundaries border the Gulf of Guinea, between Cote d’Ivoire, Togo and Burkina Faso. The capital of the country is Accra.

ccording to the United Nations human development index (HDI), Ghana is ranked 131/177 countries worldwide (value 0.568)1 and 9/45 African countries for which an index is available. This places Ghana in the group of countries with medium human development.
