Morocco

Morocco (population 32.21 million people) is a country in Northern Africa that covers an area of 446,550 square kilometres. Its boundaries border the North Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, between Algeria and Western Sahara. The capital of Morocco is Rabat.

According to the United Nations human development index (HDI), Morocco is ranked 125/177 countries worldwide (value 0.620)1 and 6/45 African countries for which an index is available. This places Morocco in the group of countries with medium human development.
