Mozambique’s population of around 18.54 million is made up of the following ethnic groups: indigenous groups 99.66% (Makhuwa, Tsonga, Lomwe, Sena, and others), Europeans 0.06%, Euro-Africans 0.2%, Indians 0.08%.

Religious groups include: indigenous beliefs 50%, Christian 30%, Muslim 20%.¹⁰
