Currently there are no dedicated palliative care services in any area of the Palestinian Authority. Palliation is supported in 6 oncology units. As one oncologist stated there is acute need as: ‘the majority of cases are at an advanced stage, requiring palliative care – but we have no palliative care services, or trained people.’³⁴
