Palliative Care 'Coverage' in South Africa
As yet, palliative care coverage is sporadic: comprehensive in some areas but nonexistent in others. Services are particularly sparse in the Northern Cape, Mpumalanga, and Limpopo. HPCA intends to have a hospice service in each of South Africa’s 170 health authorities by 2009.
