Narrative History of Palliative Care in Tajikistan
In 2004, with the support of the Open Society Institute, the Group of Assistance in the Development of Palliative Care in Tajikistan was established, with the aim of establishing the true status of palliative care in the country.¹⁴ Some palliative care seminars have been organised through the OSI foundation in Tajikistan,¹⁵ and a number of experts/specialists have attended education and training on palliative care in Poland and Romania.¹⁶
