Data held from palliative care conferences and individual institutions indicate that a growing number of people from a wide variety of disciplines have undertaken palliative care training of one sort or another – both in Thailand and elsewhere. But in the absence of any centrally held information, one can only speculate about the number of nurses trained to Master’s and Certificate level (and where they work), the number of experienced doctors trained in palliative care methods, and the newly-qualified doctors whose curricula included palliative care topics.
