Zimbabwe's Population

Zimbabwe’s population of 12.85 million (2001) is 98% African (Shona 82%, Ndebele 14%) and less than 1% is white. Around 50% of the population subscribes to syncretic religion (part Christian, part indigenous beliefs); 25% is Christian; 24% hold indigenous beliefs; 1% is Muslim.
