What is the "Cluster Group?"

Since late 2003, the Observatory has held a meeting on the morning of the third Wednesday, (now Thursday), of each month during term-time.

Focusing on all aspects of palliative care, we have been successful in encouraging colleagues to talk about their work and, consequently, the first hour of each meeting is dedicated to presentations by both cluster members and external visitors. The links on the right of the page will take you to other pages containing previous presentations and give you a taste of presentations yet to come. The second part of our meeting is set aside for those attending to table news/issues/recent experiences from within their own palliative care background, with an opportunity to fully discuss these amongst others in the group.

Who can attend?

The group membership continues to increase and encompasses all disciplines with many levels of experience. The group particularly welcomes members local to Lancaster but extends its membership to areas as far away as Zimbabwe! With our member e-list currently standing at 105, we are always happy to encourage others to join. Click here if you would like more information and an opportunity to join our swelling ranks!.

What if you can't attend?

Following each meeting and where the relevant permissions have been granted, the month's topic of discussion/presentation will be posted on this site. Members will be invited to view this through the e-list and from the "Previous Presentations" link on the right of the page.
