Information Officer
Anthony Greenwood
Anthony's first career step was with the Royal Air Force, spending 13 years in a variety of Air Traffic Control environments, some of which sparked his interest in computing and information technology. Subsequent to his military career, he has worked in the travel industry and as an administrative manager in the NHS.
Following a short secondment with the Sheffield Palliative Care Studies Group, University of Sheffield, Anthony remained with this prestigious group until 2003, when he followed Professor David Clark and other esteemed colleagues to Lancaster, where he continues to enjoy the role of Information Officer for the Observatory. Anthony is responsible for the Observatory's many resources, not least of which is the continued development of the Observatory web pages, in addition to those of the Hospice History Programme and Observatory Publications.
Anthony lives in Clitheroe with his partner, Nic and cat, Merlin.
Projects
In Anthony's role as Information Support Officer, he is involved to some extent in most of the projects undertaken by Observatory Staff but is particularly involved in the Cancer Experiences Collaborative (CECo), where he is the web administrator.
