Christina Shennan
Christina is a psychotherapist with experience in the oncology field, working in hospice and day care settings, with both early diagnosis and palliative patients. Christina has an interest in meditation which informs her work and is currently enrolled in a part time Masters programme at Bangor University studying Mindfulness Based Approaches. She is piloting a Mindfulness Meditation programme open to cancer patients and carers, at the charity Cancer Help in Garstang. Christina's CECo funding will allow to develop research skills and conduct a literature review focussing on the effects of mindfulness based interventions on patients with cancer. She is delighted and proud to be part of CECo and the Observatory team at Lancaster University.
