Wendy Lambert
My name is Wendy Lambert and I am in my first year of a PhD at Lancaster University. I am very much a novice researcher, but hopefully I will learn fast. I currently work as a Nurse Practitioner Part time in general practice. I also work for the local out of hours service.
My research is around the experience of elderly people (over 85 years of age) who access out of hours care. I am thrilled to be undertaking this research because it is an area of real importance as 2/3 of the the time patients are actually in the out of hours period. Also, I know that this is an area which needs attention.
I completed a MA in Health research in 2004 at Lancaster looking at telephone triage. This probably fuellled my interest in research and its importance.
I am married and have two lovely girls, Jessica and Katie. I enjoy sport, including, walking, golf, biking, skiing and exciting holidays.
